University of Edinburgh Unveils 2025 Garden Scholarship for Students from Least Developed Countries with £2000 Annual Award

The University of Edinburgh is proud to present the 2025 Garden Scholarship which is for students from Least Developed Countries (LDCs) enrolling in the Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert) in Surgical Writing and Evidence Based Practice. That which we are giving out is a grant of up to £2000 per year which also we hope will see to the promotion of academic excellence and professional development in the fields of surgical writing and evidence based medical practices.

What is the eligibility for The University of Edinburgh Garden Scholarship?


For the Garden Scholarship we have that the applicant must:

Nationality and Residency: Be from and reside in a country which is classified as an LDC by the United Nations.

Program Enrollment: Enroll in or are currently a student in the University of Edinburgh’s PgCert in Surgical Writing and Evidence Based Practice.

Fields of Study Covered:


The scholarship is for the PgCert in Surgical Writing and Evidence Based Practice which is to improve your skills in medical writing and to promote evidence based approaches in surgery.

Universities Included in the Program: 

This scholarship is for study at the University of Edinburgh.


Selection Process for Applicants: 


In the review process we have put together a dedicated scholarship committee which will go over all applications. What we will look at is academic background of the applicant, the personal statement, career goals and also how the scholarship will play a role in the applicant’s professional growth.

Documents Needed for Application: 


Applicants will provide the following:.

Personal Details: Name, which country you live in, present post, and which company you work for.

Career Objectives: A brief description of professional goals and what the scholarship will do for them.

Academic Qualifications: Degrees obtained which also includes the institutions which attended and years of graduation.

Personal Statement: A paper of up to 500 words which details your motivations for the PgCert program and what you expect out of the scholarship.

Additional Information: Any which will support your case.

Eligibility by Country:

Benefits of the Edinburgh University Garden Scholarship 2025:


Recipients of the Garden Scholarship will be awarded up to £2,000 per year which is to be used for either tuition fees or living costs during the study period.

Duration of the Scholarship:


The scholarship is for the term of the PgCert program provided that it is used properly.
