Overview of Northumbria’s 2025 Program.

Northumbria University is presenting a special Postgraduate Taught (PGT) Scholarship for international students for the 2025 academic year. We have put in place this program to support self funded students which we are doing by we are providing a tuition fee reduction of £3,00 which is to be applied to full time master’s programs at our Newcastle Upon Tyne campus. This we hope will make high quality education more accessible to international students and also will enhance their academic and professional growth.

Which groups are eligible to apply to Northumbria University in 2025?

For the 2025 Northumbria University Postgraduate Scholarship we have the following criteria:

International student which includes ‘Overseas’ or ‘EU’ fee status.

Is at present enrolled in a Level 6 Undergraduate Degree in the UK.

Must be a self funded student (not receiving sponsorship from any group or government).

Must satisfy all the entry requirements for the chosen master's program at Northumbria University.

Fields of Study Covered: 

This scholarship covers a wide range of full time post graduate programs at Northumbria University. But some programs are excluded from the program which includes:.

Advanced Standing or Overseas Masters programs.

Physiotherapy (Pre-Registration) MSc

MSc in Nursing (Adult, Child, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities).

Midwifery Studies MSc

Social Work MA

Bar, Bar LLM, LLM in Professional Legal Practice (SQE1).

Universities Included in the Program:

This scholarship is for postgraduate students which apply to Northumbria University in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Other institutions are not included in this program.

Selection Process for Applicants: 

The application process for this scholarship is easy. We do not ask for separate applications from eligible students. Instead the university applies the tuition fee reduction to which students are entitled at the time of enrollment. We base our assessment on the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria which we have put forth.

Documents Needed for Application: 

While no separate scholarship application is necessary students at the same time must put in the proper documentation for postgraduate program admission which may include:.

Transcripts and records of past study.

Proof of English proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent if applicable).

Personal statement or statement of purpose

Letter(s) of recommendation

A copy of a valid passport
