Overview of the Build‑A‑Thon Holiday Tech Camp

The Build-On Holiday Tech Camp is a full scale nation wide initiative by Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation  Digital Economy (FMCIDE). We see this program as a platform which puts forward early introduction to digital tech and innovation to Nigerian youth in the range of 10 to 18 years. The camp which is very hands on in approach we see to be made up of robotics, coding, Internet of Things (IoT) and embedded systems which is put forth in structured training camps we have in key locations across the country.

This year we are seeing over 2,000 participants at the Build-A-Thon which is a great chance for young people to put their critical thinking skills to work, engage in team based learning, and work through real world problems in a tech based setting.

Who is Eligible to Apply for the Build‑A‑Thon Holiday Tech Camp?

Eligibility for the Build‑A‑Thon Holiday Tech Camp is straightforward:

Applicants must be Nigerian citizens.

Age range: 10 to 18 years old at the time of application.

Both male and female students from public and private schools are welcome.

No prior experience in coding or robotics is required, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential.

Camps will be hosted in:

Abeokuta (Ogun State)

FCT – Abuja

Kano

Each location features a structured program with specific start and end dates communicated directly to accepted participants.
