David Johnston–Lebovic Foundation International Experience Awards
This prestigious award is given out for Canadian and international students which wish to be a part of global experiences. Award amounts vary based on the type and duration of the experience:.
$2,500 for a one-term study experience.
5,00 for a term of work or volunteer.
Up to $10,00 we are offering for a two term work or volunteer opportunity.
Eligibility: Qualification:
Full time university and college students in all faculties.
Participation in which you are paid little for international co-op work terms, volunteer placements, academic exchange programs, or study away related to your field of study.
International Master’s Award of Excellence (IMAE)
IMA grants are for international students in research based master’s programs. We have that award at $2,500 per term also which is renewable up to a max of six terms.
Eligibility Criteria: Eligibility Requirements:
Hold a valid Canadian study permit.
Enrolled full time and will pay international tuition fees.
Present to the faculty’s criteria for academic success.
Usually given out to students beginning their program.
Undergraduate Scholarships
The University of Waterloo presents a range of entrance scholarships for undergraduate students which is based on their admission averages:
President's Scholarship of Distinction: 1,500 International Experience Award and/or a $1,500 Research Award for which we have a 95% or higher admission average requirement.
President's Scholarship: $2000 for students which had an average of 90% to 94.9%.
Merit Scholarship: $1,000 for students which achieved between 85% and 89.9% in their entrance average.
Application Deadlines
At the University of Waterloo application deadlines for scholarships vary by level of study:.
Undergraduate Programs: April 15th, July 15th, November 15th.
